Sadly, his career came to an end at Saturday Night's Main Event after he lost to Gunther. Following this, several wrestlers have paid tribute to the Greatest of All Time.

Deonna Purrazzo also took to social media to pay her tribute to the 17-time World Champion following Saturday Night's Main Event.

Christopher Daniels also paid tribute to John Cena

John Cena has had an incredible run these past 20 years. From almost being fired to becoming the face of the company, Cena proved that if you put your head down and work hard towards your dreams, then anything is possible. Along his journey, Cena has proven to be an ambassador of goodwill through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He also inspired the next generation of WWE Superstars. Therefore, his bidding farewell to the squared circle proved to be too much to handle for many fans and wrestlers. Tributes have been pouring in for the Greatest of All Time since he left his boots in the middle of the ring.

Christopher Daniels, who also recently called it quits on his career, was one of the many who paid tribute to the Last Real Champion.

"Thank you John. And congratulations on all your success. Sorry we only did this once. #ThankYouCena."

Now that this chapter of Cena's career has come to a close, it will be exciting to see what the future holds for the Greatest of All Time as he focuses his time on other projects.
