CM Punk has called his return to WWE back in November 2023 a "dream." It has been a wild ride for The Second City Saint, who also addressed the incoming twilight years of his career.

After nearly a decade since walking out of the company in 2014, Punk made his triumphant return to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023. He finally got back on the mountain top at SummerSlam in August by becoming the World Heavyweight Champion before Seth Rollins ruined it.

Fast forward to November 1st, CM Punk is once again the World Heavyweight Champion after beating Jey Uso at Saturday Night's Main Event. Speaking to Nick Olczyk, a sports analyst for the Utah Mammoth, on Sunday, Punk opened up about his second stint with WWE and how waking up every day is like a "dream."

"It's just every day's been a dream, honestly. Every day's gratitude... I'm the old guy in the room now. I'm just happy I get to lace up my skates and have the privilege to be able to walk the locker room and the halls with a lot of talented young stars and seeing all the fans, all the places I've been all around the world multiple times, getting to revisit stuff and see the young and the old all love wrestling. It's great. It's been a dream," Punk said. [H/T Cultaholic]

CM Punk turned 47 years old on October 26, which meant that his career is closer to the end since his contemporaries like John Cena and AJ Styles are retiring this December and next year, respectively.

CM Punk teased his retirement in recent tour of Japan

WWE shared a CM Punk vlog on its official YouTube channel recently, showing what The Voice of the Voiceless was doing in Japan during the company's two-day tour there last month. He spent time with several stars like Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY.

During the vlog, Punk teased his retirement by saying that the end is near for him since John Cena and AJ Styles are close to ending their respective careers.

"So I’m standing here now, near the end of my career. You know, John Cena’s calling it quits, AJ Styles says he’s going to retire next year, and I don’t know how much time I’ve got left. I’m going to keep going until the wheels fall off,” Punk said. [H/T Sports Illustrated]

Punk added that it's important for him and other veterans to celebrate every moment and welcome all the talents who are going to carry the company in the next decade or so.
