The 2025-26 NBA season didn't go to plan for the Clippers, but they might just be a couple moves away from getting back in the right direction.

We've seen them attack the free agency market before, including signing veteran players who were waived, as they did with Bradley Beal.

We could see a similar scenario play out this summer for the Clippers, as they may target a former all-star if he gets waived.

NBA insider Michael Scotto reported Tuesday that the Clippers are expected to be a team interested in DeMar DeRozan, if he's waived by the Kings.

The Kings have been in a rebuild for a few years, and we expect to see DeRoxan depart from the team in some form eventually.

The Clippers still have a Kawhi Leonard problem to solve, but adding DeRozan could be a low-risk move that pays off, as he'll be another experienced veteran talent who can help the Clippers.

In 77 games in the 2025-26 season, DeRozan averaged 18.4 points and 4.1 assists.

DeRozan is set to turn 37 this summer and will play in his 18th season next year.
