The Clemson Tigers load up on talented high school football recruits.

One that will be arriving on campus soon just concluded a monster senior season in the state of Tennessee.

Shavar Young, playing for the Webb School in Knoxville, shared his stats on social media on Tuesday. And they're impressive:

  • 2,169 all-purpose yards
  • 1,087 rushing yards
  • 751 receiving yards
  • 331 kick return yards
  • 50 tackles
  • 21 total touchdowns

Young listed that he had one pick-six and one kickoff return for a TD among his scoring.

He's expected to be a defensive back in college.

In the Rivals rankings, Young is the No. 505 overall player in the Class of 2026.

Young committed to Clemson in August 2024 and has stuck with the Tigers and Dabo Swinney, even through a rough college season this fall for Clemson.

“It is always that family feeling up there at Clemson for me,” he told Rivals when he committed last summer. “There is something at Clemson that just fits me. It reminds me of my high school. It is a big family there. Coach Dabo Swinney and the Clemson coaches care for their players. They look out for their players, they set you up for the future and Clemson is what I am looking for in a school.”

Young will certainly bring quite the highlight reel to campus.
