Alexa Melton has retracted her statement about her ex-boyfriend Christian Pulisic.

Earlier this week, the professional golfer reportedly claimed that Pulisic was on a dating app prior to their official breakup. Fans took that information as if the professional soccer star was cheating on her. She has now taken to social media to confirm that she was not given the correct information and that what she said has been twisted.

"l've made some comments on a private matter, and it's been taken out of context," Melton wrote on her Instagram Story.

"I received false info. He is not a cheater. Any narrative beyond that is not mine.
Out of respect for Christian's and my privacy, I will not speak further regarding this matter."

The insinuation that Pulisic cheated on Melton began when she responded to a fan's comment who wrote, “This generational fumble will be studied for years to come.”

Melton then teased that she would expose him, per the New York Post,  “How many likes to post his Raya profile,” referencing the exclusive dating app.

Additionally, she gave a timeline to which the Raya profile came about, according to a Reddit thread per the New York Post, Melton added: “Mans was on Raya before it even ended.”

The couple went public with their relationship in July 2024, when Melton shared since-deleted photos from their Turks and Caicos vacation. They began their relationship when Pulisic slid into her DMs on social media.

"I slid in the DMs as they call it," Pulisic said in the 2025 Paramount+ 9-episode docuseries titled named after the soccer player, which also featured Melton. In the series, Pulisic shared that Melton was his first serious girlfriend.

Pulisic, who plays for the Serie A club AC Milan and the United States national team, has not commented on the previous allegations or the retraction.
