Austin Theory is the latest addition to The Vision. This week on RAW, Paul Heyman formally inducted him into the group.
Austin Theory was the masked figure who helped the faction with their match at Survivor Series: WarGames. A couple of weeks ago, Theory revealed himself to be the hooded man and expressed interest in joining the Vision. Last week on RAW, he teamed with Bronson Reed and defeated CM Punk and Rey Mysterio in a tag team match, proving his loyalty to the group.
After this week's episode, Austin Theory appeared on RAW Recap. The star admitted that during his previous run, he had several big moments very early on and lost himself in the grind. He felt his time away from the ring was an opportunity to rethink his approach.
"Yeah, you know, when I really sit back and think about it, I went from a lot of big moments so quick in my career. I think I lost myself. I think I did. I got comfortable. Like I said before, waiting for somebody to give me a handout, give me something because of me feeling like I deserved it. I felt like my whole life, I've worked for everything I've had, and at a young age, getting to the WWE, accomplishing things that I've done, I just got to a point where The Vision just takes, and they're not waiting for anything."Theory recalled seeing The Vision take whatever they wanted and felt he needed to do the same.
"That's when I put myself back at home, and I'm watching. I can sit here, and I can wait, and I can point the finger and blame whomever I want. But I can point it at myself. I know at the end of the day, if there's anything that I want, I can have it, but I gotta take it. I've gotta put in that effort. I know exactly what to do, and The Vision was the perfect opportunity for that."Austin Theory faced Rey Mysterio on RAW
This week on the red brand, after a fiery promo segment at the start of the show, Austin Theory was in action against Rey Mysterio.
The young star decimated the Hall of Famer during the matchup, beating him down with some stiff shots. However, when Rey started building momentum, Logan Paul interfered in the matchup, leading to a DQ.
WWE star Penta then returned to save Mysterio from a 2-on-1 beatdown.
