Chris Hemsworth Shares What's Kept His Nearly 15-Year Marriage With Elsa Pataky "In Check"
Chris Hemsworth assembled his family for the ultimate holiday vacation.
The Thor actor, 42, traveled to Tavarua Island in Fiji with wife Elsa Pataky, 49, and their kids India Rose, 13, and 11-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan, as well as more immediate and extended family members including brother Liam Hemsworth for a break from the winter cold.
Chris shared snaps to Instagram Dec. 23 from their time at Tavarua Island Resort enjoying the blue waters, sandy beaches, and plenty of boating and surfing. Some of the Hemsworth family members even donned Santa hats with their swimsuits for the Christmas getaway.
The Marvel star also posted photos of his impressive surfing skills, boat selfies with the kids, a sunset video on the water, and also shared a photo with Liam, brother Luke Hemsworth and dad Craig Hemsworth. He also shared that plenty more family members joined them by posting a huge group photo to his Instagram Story.
For Chris and Elsa, the peace and happiness that comes on vacation extends year-round thanks to their relationship dynamic. Earlier this month, Chris noted it's all about "making time for one another."
"Just having time for the two of us," Chris said on the Dec. 15 episode of the On Purpose podcast of what they prioritize, "and making space for each other."
He explained that ensuring their connection remains strong is what builds the foundation for a happy and healthy life together.
"When there's humor involved, when there's adventure, when there's curiosity, when there's openness to kind of make a fool of yourself," he continued. "What it comes down to is friendship, companionship at the end."

And part of that has to do with always wanting to continue learning more about one another.
"The moment you run out of things to talk about, and you lack that curiosity and interest in one another," he added, "that's when it's concerning."
