Chiefs ready to play Grinch in Broncos' Christmas story

The Kansas City Chiefs may be out of the playoffs, but that doesn't mean they can't still enjoy themselves.

With the Denver Broncos coming to Arrowhead Stadium in Week 17 on Christmas Day, Kansas City can ruin Christmas for its AFC West rivals.

With Denver eyeing the No. 1 seed in the AFC, a loss to the Chiefs would be detrimental to that.

For quarterback Chris Oladokun, he's ready to play the Grinch in Denver's Christmas story.

"That'd be great, it'd be a great Christmas, that's for sure," Oladokun said. "It'd make the mood a lot lighter at home after the game. We know we're facing a great opponent in Denver, one of the best teams in the league right now. Not only defensively, but offensively as well.

"We've definitely got our hands full, and I feel like we got a good plan to go out there and spoil that on Christmas."

We often see teams that have nothing to play for late in the season take great pride in ruining playoff runs.

And for the Chiefs, they have a chance to wound Denver a little.

With the Broncos the AFC West champs, and looking strong heading into the playoffs, what better way to have a happy Christmas than to beat your division rivals and potentially ruin their shot at the No. 1 seed?

That is what the Chiefs have in front of them.

So often being the villains in other teams' stories, now the Chiefs have a chance to play the role of the Grinch and ruin Denver's Christmas.
