The Las Vegas Raiders suffered a 34-10 loss to the New York Giants in Week 17 of the 2025 NFL season. With their 14th loss of the season, the Raiders now have an 80% chance of having the No. 1 draft pick for 2026.

When fans found out about the Raiders' odds to get the top pick for next year's draft, they had some wild reactions, especially since Las Vegas hosts the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18.

"Chiefs ganna lose on purpose," another added. "Raiders will sc*ew it up," a third commented.

Here are a few more reactions.

"Watch KC try to lose so they don’t get the first pick," one wrote. "The Chiefs has the chance to do the funniest thing next week," another added. "Can’t wait for them to beat the Chiefs and pick 2nd," a user tweeted.

Last week, the Raiders confirmed that their superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby won't play for the final two games of the season due to a knee injury. However, some believed that Las Vegas was keeping the player out to get the top pick in the draft order, potentially.

If the Raiders lose to the Chiefs (6-10), they will hold the top pick for the 2026 draft. Kansas City will be without superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who suffered season-ending ACL and LCL injuries against the LA Chargers in Week 15

When the Raiders hired Pete Carroll as their coach in January, there was an expectation that the team would make a push for the playoffs. However, this season has been a disaster for Las Vegas, a team that has now lost 10 games in a row.

The two wins that Carroll's Raiders recorded this NFL season came in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos (20-13) and in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers (20-10).

Moreover, the Raiders have been beaten by double digits 10 times this season and have lost by at least 24 points four times.
