The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs have met in several matchups in the respective eras of Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. Most notably, the two teams have played one another in the postseason four times, the Chiefs coming out on top in each matchup despite the Bills averaging over 28 points in those contests.
And while the rivalry between the Bills and Chiefs has been this era's Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady, there are some that believe Buffalo may never get over the hump, or that the Baltimore Ravens will do so before them. However, Matt Verderame of Sports Illustrated and KC Sports Network has quite the take and compliment for Allen and the Bills.
"The Bills are the only team in the AFC Chiefs fans have any respect for," Verderame said while joining me on The Pump Fake.
Verderame adds that the Cincinnati Bengals are the one caveat, but with Lou Anarumo gone, they are less of a threat. And also says that while Lamar Jackson is difficult to gameplan for, the Chiefs have only lost one game against Jackson and Chiefs fans know if they play their best, they will beat Baltimore.
It's all but certain Allen and Mahomes will meet in the playoffs once again, but will Allen and Buffalo finally be able to break through?
