Former Sports Illustrated model Christie Brinkley has had no shortage of accomplishments throughout her lengthy career. In addition to being one of the most famous supermodels, Brinkley has also become known for her work as an actress, entrepreneur, and activist. Now, she has released her new memoir, “Uptown Girl.”
Among the many people excited to give it a read is fellow actor Chevy Chase. Chase turned to Instagram over this past weekend to share his support for Brinkley upon the release of her book, which was released to the public on Tuesday, April 29. Chase was lucky enough to get a copy early.
Chase shared a picture of himself holding a copy of his book with wide-open eyes and a very enthusiastic expression on his face.
“A serious look at the uptown girl from a downtown boy. 😜 Can't wait to read it! (I've never been a centerfold before) 📚@christiebrinkley,” he wrote in the caption.
Brinkley was quick to respond to the comical post.
“I LOVE this so much Chevy! If I knew you were going to do this I would have made it a FOLD OUT centerfold‼️😘 Thank you living legend you! 😘,” she replied.
81-year-old Chase and 71-year-old Brinkley are longtime friends and former coworkers. They were co-stars in the 1983 film National Lampoon's Vacation.
