Chelsea have submitted a new bid to try to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan ahead of the closure of the temporary transfer window, as per Fabrizio Romano. The window will close on Tuesday June 10th for teams in the FIFA Club World Cup, and Enzo Maresca wishes to seal the deal before then.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the Blues have submitted an improved bid for the France international, offering to pay €15 million for his services. They have issued an ultimatum to his Italian club and would like to know if they accept or reject their bid by Tuesday.

Maignan has emerged as a priority target for Maresca's side ahead of their Club World Cup campaign despite the club having several goalkeepers. The Frenchman was valued at €10 million by Chelsea in initial talks, but the Blues appear to have revised their offer for him.

AC Milan were looking to receive around €30 million for the 29-year-old goalkeeper but may now be forced to accept a much lower fee. Maignan is about to enter into the final 12 months of his contract with the Rossoneri and has shown no indication that he intends to extend his stay at the club. The Italian giants struggled this season, failing to qualify for Europe and losing the Coppa Italia final to Bologna.

Chelsea have an agreement on personal terms with the former Lille man, who has signalled his desire to move to the Premier League side. The lure of a return to UEFA Champions League football and play in England appears to have convinced Mike Maignan to join Maresca's side this summer.

Chelsea reach personal terms agreement with Bundesliga star, in talks with club: Reports

Chelsea have reached an agreement on personal terms with Borussia Dortmund forward Jamie Gittens ahead of a summer switch, as per The Athletic. The 20-year-old winger has been pursued by the Blues as they look to replace Jadon Sancho, who will return to his parent club this summer.

The report from The Athletic has revealed that Gittens has an agreement in place with the Blues over a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge. The 20-year-old forward has given his greenlight to the move to join Enzo Maresca's side and is eager to move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea offered a reported €35 million for the England U-21 international and are in negotiations with his club over his transfer. He has made 106 appearances for the Bundesliga side since arriving in 2020 and is seen as expendable, as he does not exactly fit into the system employed by Niko Kovac.
