The Los Angeles Chargers won't have the services of Khalil Mack against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Night Football as a groin injury will keep him out of the lineup.
The team had to be prepared for that possibility as it limited him in practice all week but the team has also chosen to keep D.J. Chark and Hayden Hurst out of uniform for the game. Chark has hardly been of use to the Chargers this season and Hurst has just seven receptions on the season.

The Chargers have decided that they can do without either of them against the Bengals in a key AFC matchup. There could be an uptick in targets for Will Dissly. As for the absence of Mack, look for Tuli Tuipolotu and Bud Dupree to pick up the slack for him on defense.
The Bengals have one of the league's most effective offenses this season and of late, Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase have been on fire. The Chargers are going to have to generate a pass rush in this game and they may have to do that with Joey Bosa still being less than 100 percent healthy.
It remains to be seen what the roles will be for Chark and Hurst going forward this season, but the team has brought Shaq Quarterman and Eli Apple onto the 53-man roster for this game.
