Patrick Mahomes tells Josh Allen he expects to see him again soon

Another chapter was written in the polarizing rivalry between Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen on Sunday.

With the Bills prevailing 30-21 in the game of the week, Allen extended his unbeaten regular season record to 4-1 against the Chiefs, also handing them their first loss of the season.

After linebacker Terrell Bernard intercepted Mahomes with time winding down to seal Kansas City’s fate, Mahomes proceeded to shake Allen’s hand, telling him “we’ll do it again, baby” in a brief exchange of words.

Mahomes’ confidence is to be expected of a player who has not only won three Lombardi Trophies but has also posted just as many playoff wins over the Bills and Allen.

With their first loss out of the way and a game ahead in Carolina next week, Mahomes was unsurprisingly all business after the game.

“You can use it as fuel, like I said it’s a good football team. Nothing to hang your head on losing to them,” Mahomes told reporters.

“The undefeated thing was cool, but that’s not our ultimate goal, so we’ll keep building towards that.”

The Bills lost a heartbreaker to the Chiefs in last year’s Divisional Round 27-24, but no one could argue Buffalo isn’t in a better spot to meet Kansas City this time around on both sides of the ball.

With Allen a frontrunner for MVP, and Bobby Babich’s defense holding opponents proving tough to score against, a January rematch like Mahomes is predicting should live up to the billing.
