As expected, Bills Mafia didn’t go unnoticed during Sunday’s 30-21 win over the rival Chiefs.
With Highmark Stadium sold out for the top-seeded AFC clash, Buffalo’s famous 12th man made sure they played their part by providing a raucous backdrop to the game of the week, if not the season.
With countless tables broken during the pre-game tailgate, star safety Taylor Rapp made sure to thank the fans for making life as difficult as possible for Kansas City.
“That’s one of the loudest I’ve heard Bills Mafia in this stadium, and that’s a testament to these fans,” Rapp said post-game.
“It made it hard for us to communicate on the back end on defense, but it’s truly a 12th man out there with Bills Mafia.”
Now in his second year with the team, Rapp recorded the first of two Chiefs interceptions early in the first quarter, reading Patrick Mahomes’ hurried scramble attempt beautifully to rush forward and pick off an overthrown pass that was intended for Noah Gray.

— NFL on CBS 🏈 (@NFLonCBS) November 17, 2024Rapp, who has now recorded interceptions in back-to-back weeks, has proven a key piece in a Buffalo defensive unit that has allowed over 28 points only once all season.
“I was in the middle of the field and got a good read on the ball, he overthrew it and I capitalized on it,” Rapp said on the interception.
He also said that starting fast has been a key talking point in practice leading into games.
“We made a big emphasis on starting the game fast, and that’s what we’ve been able to do, get in the groove,” Rapp added.
The Bills now have a chance to rest over the bye week before returning home to Orchard Park in Week 13 to host Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers.
