Chanel West Coast Reveals Her Plans for Baby No. 2

Why Chanel West Coast Says Her Liposuction Recovery Was "Treacherous"

There's no slowing down Chanel West Coast's hustle.

Two-plus years after welcoming daughter Bowie Breeze with boyfriend Dom Fenison, "I would love to have another child," the musician revealed in an exclusive interview with E! News. She's just hoping to birth an album first.

When she had her daughter in November 2022, "I was at a weird place in my music career," the West Coast Hustle star admitted. "I needed to be going really hard with my music in full force. But then I got pregnant."

At first she assumed she could use those nine months "to record music the whole time," Chanel detailed. But a high-risk pregnancy meant "I could barely breathe," she noted. "I was just like, 'I'm not even singing or rapping my best because I'm so out of breath.'"

So she's barely taken a moment to catch it since welcoming Bowie: "I've just been going extremely hard with my music."

Because after releasing her "Lil' Bit Country" single, her fans have been wanting a lot more.

"It's really buzzing, kind of blowing-up-overnight type thing compared to songs I've dropped in the past doing hip-hop," Chanel said of her independent release. And with fans clamoring for additional tracks after her swerve into country, "I'm in the thick of it," she said. "I have to go so hard, get to this next level with the music."

Once she's done that—"Dropping my full country album, maybe get a little tour under wraps"—said Chanel, "Then we'll think about having another one, because I definitely think Bowie needs a little friend, too, to play with. That's very apparent."

And having a few more years between Bowie and her potential younger sibling doesn't feel all that ridiculous.

Remarking on the five-year gap between a close friend's two daughters, Chanel noted, "It's like having a little assistant almost when they're that far apart in age. You get a little bit of help."

Though by that point Bowie may be too busy with her own music career to provide much of an assist.

"She will not stop singing," Chanel marveled of her 2-year-old. In addition to knowing every word to "Lil' Bit Country," and belting out Frozen's "Let It Go" on the regular, "She's been making up her own little songs," added Chanel. "The first song she actually made up was singing about a poopy in her diaper. She's like, 'I got a poopy, poopy in my diaper.' It even sounded like a country song."

Though if Bowie really wants to be like Mom, she'll need a few side hustles as well.

In addition to her music career, Chanel dove into fashion with the Coasty Swim line that allows her to "be on vacation and promote something you're selling at the same time" and podcasting with her and Dom's series The Laugh, a reference to the iconic giggle that made her famous on MTV's Ridiculousness.

But her main focus is to drop her country disc and some new tracks at her upcoming line dancing bar gigs. Plus, teased Chanel, "I may be on TV again soon."

As for her mini me, Bowie has already shown promise on the small screen.

While Chanel said reality TV is "a world I just fell into by accident," admitting she found the whole experience of shooting her series West Coast Hustle a bit stressful because "you can't hide anything," her daughter is a natural.

"She can be a little bit of a terror sometimes," Chanel noted of Bowie, "but for some reason, every time a camera comes on and she has to be filmed, she's all of a sudden an angel."

The Los Angeles native lost track of the days where "I'd tell the producer, 'Hey, Bowie's being a little crazy today. I don't know if we can film with her," only to have the crew show up "and she's just all smiles, being the best baby."

Though, admittedly, that feels a bit familiar...

"Growing up, I was the type of kid where in dance team or choir, sometimes I'd be still trying to figure out the dance up until the last day," recounted Chanel. "And then it's show time, and I do it perfect. I'm like, Oh, she gets that from Mom. As soon as the camera's on, she's like, 'I'm gonna pull it together.'"

Which is why, now that the toddler is "fully putting together sentences," Chanel is convinced, "She's going to be a little entertainer. She's very talented, very smart. We just want to see what she naturally goes into the most. But at this point, it's looking like she's going to take after Mommy and want to do music."

Of course, the toddler isn't the first celebrity kid to share that it factor. Check out the other famous offspring who are chips carved off their ol' parental block.
