Celtics' Sam Hauser made absurd NBA 3-point history with stats never done before

1 hour ago 2

Sam Hauser wasn't shy about letting it fly.

The Boston Celtics' sharpshooter tried to prove he was exactly that on Saturday night, and he did so in a historic manner.

Hauser shot the basketball 21 times in a win over the Atlanta Hawks.

None of those shots came at the foul line.

None of those shots came on 2-point attempts.

Yes, all 21 of Hauser's shot attempts on Saturday were from beyond the 3-point arc.

He made 10 of them, for 30 points.

No one had ever taken that many 3s in a game without another attempt.

Sam Hauser took 21 3’s tonight without taking a 2.

That’s never happened in NBA history.

Hauser supplemented what was a 41-point night for Jaylen Brown.

He also added six rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.

Hauser is known as a shooter, but this was an absurd game of heat checks after heat checks.

Frankly, it was pretty darn awesome.
