ESPN's Shams Charania announced Monday that Garland had successful surgery to repair the toe injury he had.
Garland will be out for four to five months, meaning he could miss the start of next season.
We don't know yet if Garland will be with Cleveland next year, but this could alter the thinking of GMs who previously had an interest in Garland.

He missed Games 3 & 4 of their first-round series against the Heat, as well as Games 1 & 2 against the Pacers in the ECSF.
Garland was an all-star on the one-seed Cavs in 2024-25, averaging 20.6 PPG, 6.7 APG and 1.2 SPG.
