Cavaliers predicted to cut ties with player who has been on 11 different teams for LeBron James reason

It's been stated many times now that LeBron James could be willing to take the minimum if he finds the right landing spot. I don't want to say that James is certainly going to do so until everything happens, but it's an interesting thought, as landing James on a minimum contract would be a steal for a team, even at this stage of his career.

Ultimately, it seems the Cleveland Cavaliers want to be as enticing as possible, and finding some financial flexibility for James might not be the worst idea. That is why it was recently predicted they'd move on from Dennis Schroder to save some money.

“When a player has suited up for 11 different franchises in 12 seasons, the chances of his suitcases being packed for another trade are perpetually high. Dennis Schröder is entering the final year of his deal at a very movable $14 million salary, making him an ideal financial casualty. As the Cavaliers aggressively navigate second-apron tax constraints while clearing payroll runway to potentially lure LeBron James back home, shedding Schröder’s mid-tier contract makes absolute, frictionless sense for Cleveland's front office,” Joe Cervenka wrote.

Trading Schroder shouldn't be too difficult, considering we see it happen in what feels like every single year.

Schroder is still a pretty average player in his own right, and he should be wanted by either a contending team that needs a guard off the bench or a young team looking to bring in a veteran.

Regardless, this would make it easier to sign James, so if that's how things play out, I think most Cleveland fans would be all for it.
