The Cleveland Cavaliers were able to snap their three-game losing streak on Monday in the first half of their back-to-back to begin the week.
This win puts their record at 16-14. Now they will host the New Orleans Pelicans (8-22) on Tuesday.
Heading into the matchup, the team's injury report includes updates to five different players.
Darius Garland, Lonzo Ball highlight Cavs' injury report vs. Pelicans
According to NBA.com, Lonzo Ball (injury management), Evan Mobley (calf), Larry Nance Jr. (calf), and Max Strus (foot) have all been ruled out for the Dec. 22 game against the Pelicans.
Darius Garland (quad) is a new player on the list as well. He is dealing with a left quadricep contusion and has been listed as questionable.
The 25-year-old can't shake away the injury bug so far this season. He's been gradually ramping up his minutes while continuing to monitor offseason toe surgery.
Now, it appears that he's dealing with another lower-body injury that may result in him missing Tuesday's game.
After being elected to the All-Star game in 2024-25, Garland has struggled to find the same momentum in 2025-26. Through 14 games, he's averaging 17.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 6.8 assists while shooting 39.5% from the field and 35.4% from three.
With Lonzo Ball already being ruled out, the Cavs may have to rely on Donovan Mitchell and Sam Merrill a little bit heavily in the contest.
Craig Porter Jr. and Tyrese Proctor could also see a raise in minutes if Garland is unable to suit up.
