Sports social media is facing quite the doozy on Wednesday. It's April 1, April Fools Day.

Accounts that usually post real news have even gotten in on the action, including with 'Melo.

Is Carmelo Anthony joining the Lakers?

No, 'Melo isn't joining the Lakers.

It's an April Fools Joke from this account:

It wouldn't even be that logical of a signing for the Lakers beyond whether Anthony can still get the job done on the court or not.

It's too late in the year for a player who hasn't played yet this season and is a free agent to become eligible for the playoff roster.

If the Lakers wanted to chase a championship with 'Melo, they would've had to sign him by March 1, not April 1.

They're not signing him anyway, though.
