Then 21 years old in 2024, the Yankees pitching prospect missed time with a back injury that limited him to nine games.

When he was on the mound, he posted a 6.86 ERA between rookie ball and Single-A, with 20 walks in 21 innings.

He then headed to the Arizona Fall League for five more games but walked 15 batters in 8 ²/₃ innings.
