American actress Elle Fanning closely watched the US Open final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner and she came out as a fan of one of them. In the final at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Alcaraz defeated the Italian convincingly and avenged his loss at Wimbledon. This year, Alcaraz and Sinner have split the Grand Slams between them just like last year, when they were the two to win all the majors.

In her latest interview, Fanning, who is worth $8 million (via Celebrity Net Worth), spoke enthusiastically while taking sides between Alcaraz and Sinner. She especially commented about Alcaraz's serve during the finals at Flushing Meadows.

"Ooh, I mean, hey, he's a fighter, I have to say. I love Alcaraz. I love Sinner too," Fanning said. "I, like, watching them face off, I was so excited. I'm a huge tennis fan. But gosh, yeah, Alcaraz really delivered in that final. He did a really good job. He could take on the Predator. His serve, the speed of the ball, I mean, I'd like to see the Predator play tennis. That would be interesting."

Elle Fanning's mother, Heather Joy Arrington, played professional tennis. She attended the 2025 US Open final with her sister, Dakota Fanning, and was also spotted at Wimbledon in 2023.

Jannik Sinner dethrones Carlos Alcaraz from No. 1 ranking after winning Paris Masters

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz's rivalry is set to take center stage again as the two are scheduled to feature in the ATP Finals in Turin as the top two seeds.

After Alcaraz won the 2025 US Open title, he dethroned the Italian as the No. 1-ranked ATP player. Months later, Alcaraz lost the first match of the 2025 Rolex Paris Masters to Cameron Norrie, paving the way for Sinner with an opportunity to dethrone Alcaraz from the No. 1 spot.

Sinner defeated Félix Auger‑Aliassime 6-4, 7-6(4) in the final on November 2, to win the Paris Masters and reclaim the No. 1 ranking. He will be at a massive advantage during the ATP Finals, which will be played in his home country. Sinner’s indoor hard-court winning streak extended to 26 matches with that title.

For the ATP Finals, Sinner is in the Björn Borg Group, alongside Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton and either Felix Auger‑Aliassime or Lorenzo Musetti (the final spot is to be determined). Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz is in the Jimmy Connors Group, with Novak Djokovic (if he plays), Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur.
