Several wrestling personalities, including Nick Jackson, Chelsea Green, and Omos, recently showed their massive support for a popular former WWE champion after his sudden release. The name in question is Ridge Holland.
Ridge Holland last competed inside the squared circle in a Dark Match on September 27, 2025. During the bout, the former Brawling Brutes star suffered an unfortunate foot injury, which sidelined him from in-ring competition. Amid his absence from the ring, Holland shockingly revealed that WWE has decided to let him go after his contract expiration on November 14. He mentioned that the company would still fund all of his medical bills for his injury, but he won't get paid after his deal expires.
WWE has shockingly terminated Ridge Holland's contract
The former NXT Tag Team Champion recently took to social media to voice his frustration over his contract situation, calling out the Stamford-based promotion for letting him go while he is out with an injury. According to a recent report, WWE has shockingly terminated Ridge Holland's contract before the expiration on November 14, and he won't get paid for the remainder of his deal. This was done after Holland publicly criticized the company.
After suddenly getting released by the TKO-led promotion, a GoFundMe was started for Ridge Holland so he could take care of his family without his salary. Several wrestling names have since made donations to help the former Brawling Brutes star.
According to his GoFundMe page, The Young Bucks' Nick Jackson, Jinder Mahal, and AEW star Kyle Fletcher have all donated $1000 to support Holland. Meanwhile, Chelsea Green and Omos have opted to donate $1000 monthly.
WWE reportedly wanted to send a message with Ridge Holland's release
According to a recent report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio, World Wrestling Entertainment released Ridge Holland because he publicly criticized the company. The report also highlighted that the Stamford-based promotion wanted to send a message to the locker room with Holland's firing that no one should say anything negative about the company, as that can lead to their release.
It remains to be seen what Ridge Holland has planned for his future in the professional wrestling world.
