This past weekend, Canadiens great Carey Price’s wife Angela Price was in Kelowna for the Canadian Country Music Association Awards and shared glimpses of her night out on Instagram.

On Sunday, Angela posted a series of stories from the event. Her first clip featured the dazzling CCMA stage setup with Josh Ross’s “Single Again” playing in the background calling it “such a fun night.” Another photo showed her enjoying one of the live performances from the crowd.

The most telling moment, however, came in her backstage snap with country star Josh Ross. Smiling alongside him, Angela jokingly captioned the photo:

“Casually asking @joshrossmusic to perform at Carey’s retirement party next year.”

The comment instantly drew attention given Carey Price’s recent trade to the San Jose Sharks. Although the veteran goaltender has not formally announced his retirement, Angela’s remark suggested that the family is already preparing for an official sendoff in 2026.

Price, 38, has not played since the 2021-22 season due to chronic knee issues but remains under contract. His trade to the Sharks earlier this summer was widely seen as a cap-related move.

Carey Price’s wife admits being deeply impacted by Charlie Kirk's assassination

Earlier last week, U.S. conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated during a public appearance at Utah Valley University in what authorities believe was a targeted attack. The shocking incident which was captured on video quickly spread across social media before many of the graphic clips were taken down.

On Friday, Carey Price’s wife Angela revealed how deeply the tragedy has affected her personally. In a series of Instagram stories, she admitted that stumbling across the video on TikTok has left her shaken and struggling to cope.

“The Charlie Kirk death was just so crazy. And I think, I mean, it’s crazy, yes, but I accidentally, unintentionally came across the video of the murder or assassination on TikTok. And I just haven’t been able to get that out of my brain,” Angela shared. “I’m not sleeping at night. It just, it shook me. So that’s why I haven’t been on here. Damn, it just feels heavy.”

Angela explained that the disturbing images have taken a toll on her well-being, but assured fans she plans to return soon with updates including her popular “laundry talk” segments.
