Canada vs. Puerto Rico weather updates: WBC Pool A contest delayed by rain in San Juan

1 hour ago 3

Team Canada has two remaining games to decide its 2026 World Baseball Classic fate, starting on Tuesday night against baseball powerhouse Puerto Rico in San Juan. The Canadians went 1-1 over its first two games, defeating Colombia in its opener before losing to Panama the next day.

Canada’s path to the top of Pool A is clear but precarious: they can clinch the group by sweeping their final two games against Puerto Rico tonight and Cuba tomorrow. However, their tournament life effectively hinges on the finale; a loss to Cuba tomorrow would result in an automatic elimination for the Canadians, rendering tonight’s outcome against PR irrelevant to their survival.

Though, the contest against the home team Puerto Rico will start late on Tuesday night with a game in rain delay.

Here are the latest updates and when to expect first pitch.
