After a highlight involving Bobby Witt Jr. made waves during Team USA action, the reaction from Paul Skenes quickly spread across social media.
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ superstar pitcher shared his appreciation for the play online, writing, “Bobby’s play, that’s one of the best plays I’ve ever seen.”
The admiration between the two young stars went both ways. Witt praised Skenes’ performance on the mound after the game.
“Yeah, I like standing out there watching it,” Witt said. “[He] was special, setting the tone for us and it was great!”
