Michael Chandler has hinted that his fight with Conor McGregor might just be set for the UFC White House card in June 2026.

Chandler was to fight McGregor after their coaching roles on The Ultimate Fighter 31. They were to face off at UFC 303 but the Irishman pulled out due to an injury.

McGregor has not fought since losing to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021. However, he has constantly stated that a return is on the way.

Chandler and McGregor have hinted at fighting at the White House event, part of the America250 celebrations.

‘Iron’ has spoken many times about his fight with McGregor being set up, and he did that on CBS’ NYE broadcast.

He was asked about for the next year and had this to say:

“There’s a rumor going around, we can’t confirm nor deny it but it does sound like I might be handing Conor McGregor a good ol’ fashioned patented red, white and blue butt whooping on the south lawn of the White House some time this summer. That’s the plan."

The UFC hasn’t started any fight negotiations for the big card yet. Dana White has maintained that all matchmaking will be done from February 2026. US President Donald Trump, for his part, stated that he expects eight to nine title fights on the White House card.

Conor McGregor hints at UFC White House appearance

Conor McGregor might still be the biggest name in the UFC and he recently hinted that he is set for the White House event.

The Irishman has made several big statements regarding the card, including directly speaking with Donald Trump and bypassing the UFC to fight.

In a recent post, McGregor shared an image with the White House in the background, surrounded by fans and a one word caption, “savior.”

This seems to have taken inspiration from the Zach Snyder Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice movie where Superman was surrounded by his supporters.

It is to be seen if McGregor vs. Chandler is a reality on the card. Alex Pereira, who had spoken about fighting at the event, is out after he confirmed that on his social media.

Jon Jones is another big name that wants to fight on the card, but Dana White is hesitant to bring ‘Bones’ back after he avoided fighting Tom Aspinall.
