After getting waived by the Brooklyn Nets following the NBA trade deadline, Cam Thomas chose to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Milwaukee opened up a roster spot for Thomas, waiving Nigel Hayes-Davis after he was acquired from the Phoenix Suns last week.
After agreeing to a deal to join the team, the 24-year-old explained his decision in an interview.
Thomas: 'I really felt wanted by the guys.'
As the young guard looks to make his Bucks debut on Monday against the Orlando Magic, Thomas was able to answer questions on why he chose to sign with Milwaukee.
"The front office told me that they always wanted me, always called about me, tried to get me here for years," Thomas said. "That definitely plays a part in your decision to go somewhere, because I really felt wanted by the guys."

With Giannis expected to stay on the sidelines through the All-Star break while recovering from a right calf strain, Thomas will look to help Ryan Rollins, Myles Turner, and the rest of the team moving forward.
Thomas was limited to just 24 games this season before getting waived by the Nets on Feb. 5.
A lingering hamstring strain has resulted in his numbers declining this season. In 2025-26. He's averaging 15.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists while shooting 39.9 percent from the field and 32.5 percent from three.
