Wide receiver Parker Livingstone has made a major decision regarding his collegiate future.

According to college football insider Pete Thamel, the Texas Longhorns redshirt freshman plans to enter the upcoming transfer portal. He just finished his second year with the program under coach Steve Sarkisian.

"Texas wide receiver Parker Livingstone intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he tells ESPN. Livingstone finished his redshirt freshman season with 516 yards receiving and six receiving touchdowns," Thamel tweeted.

Fans on social media shared their reactions to Parker Livingstone's transfer portal decision. Some felt that this decision was taken to have some financial flexibility to try and acquire Auburn Tigers WR Cam Coleman.

"Cam Coleman welcome to Texas," one fan commented. "This news makes me feel pretty confident Texas will go hard after Cam Coleman or another top transfer wideout," another fan said. "That Cam Coleman commits to Texas notification is gonna hit like crack," this fan wrote. "Sounds like Texas is saving some dollars to spend on Cam Coleman," another fan said.

Others discussed Livingstone's relationship with quarterback Arch Manning, who was also reportedly his roommate.

"Arch must be a s***y roommate," one fan wrote. "Arch roomie. ... damn. .. must not be feeling cheesy!!!" this fan commented.

Livingstone committed to playing for the Longhorns despite having offers from programs like Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, Oklahoma State, and Utah. He redshirted his freshman campaign.

This season, Livingstone was the WR3 on the depth chart. He tallied a total of 516 yards and six touchdowns receiving. However, the Longhorns failed to qualify for the 12-team playoffs. They finished the season with a 10-3 (6-2 SEC) record and a Citrus Bowl victory over the Michigan Wolverines.

Arch Manning shares his honest thoughts on Parker Livingstone's transfer portal decision

The Texas Longhorns won against Michigan in the Citrus Bowl on Wednesday. Arch Manning, who had a rather inconsistent season, completed 21 of 34 passes for 221 yards and four total touchdowns.

However, the quarterback's joy was cut short after his roommate and WR Parker Livingstone's decision to enter the transfer portal. On his Instagram story, Manning shared a photo of the duo on the field and accompanied it with a teary-eyed emoji, expressing his sadness about the situation.

This season, Arch Manning tallied 3,163 yards and 26 TDs passing while rushing for 399 yards and 10 touchdowns for Steve Sarkisian's team. Livingstone had 25 receiving yards for no touchdowns on three receptions.
