It's once again time for another riveting installment of the CIF-L.A. City Section high school baseball playoffs. In the next two weeks, many of the top teams and players in L.A. County will go at it for a chance to play in the Open Division and Division 1 championships at Dodger Stadium.

Led by two-way star Jackson Sellz, second-seeded El Camino Real (19-9, 11-4) is a threat to go back-to-back atop the Open Division.

But two through eight in the top division will all be heavy underdogs to take down the No. 1 seed and ECR's West Valley League rival, Birmingham (24-4, 13-2). El Camino Real handed Birmingham one of only two in-section losses  by a score of 8-3 before the Patriots rolled in both rematches later in league play and finished on an 11-game tear.

The championship games for the top two divisions will be played on Saturday, May 23 at Dodger Stadium.
