Cal Raleigh had well wishes for fellow Seattle Mariners pitcher Logan Gilbert and his wife Aviles after the latest family update. On Monday, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy. The Gilberts have named the baby Henry Strider Gilbert.
On Friday, Raleigh reposted the Mariners' social media post announcing the arrival of Gilbert's baby. The catcher added a five-word reaction:
"Can't wait to meet him."•

"Join us in congratulating the Gilberts on welcoming the newest member to their family, Henry Strider Gilbert!" they wrote in the caption.Logan Gilbert and Cal Raleigh were both part of the Mariners' 2025 deep postseason run. After qualifying for the postseason as the top AL West team, the Mariners defeated the Detroit Tigers in the ALDS to set up the encounter with the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALCS.
The League Championship rounded went the whole seven games, where in Game 7, the Blue Jays came out on top.
Gilbert made three starts and one relief appearance, while going 1-1 with an ERA of 4.20 and 14 strikeouts in the 2025 postseason. Meanwhile, Raleigh batted .304 with 14 hits, five homers, eight RBIs and eight runs scored in 12 postseason games.
Logan Gilbert and Aviles' newborn arrived on actual due date
Earlier on Friday, Aviles Gilbert shared photos of the baby along with candid moments of the couple with the newborn. Aviles also revealed that their newborn arrived exactly on her due date.
She wrote a heartfelt caption:
"Henry Strider Gilbert, born on November 3rd (his actual due date)! We are so in love and in newborn bliss. Hallelujah for healthy mom and baby!"Earlier in May, the couple first shared that they are expecting a baby this fall.
"For this child, we have prayed! Baby boy coming this fall🤍💙" Aviles wrote.Logan Gilbert and Aviles started dating in Apr. 2018 while at Stetson University in Florida. They got engaged in October 2021 and were married on November 12, 2022, at Magnolia Farms in Eustis, Florida.
