Caitlin Clark eats an Uncrustable as Fever roll even with star not playing

Caitlin Clark's back injury flared up and kept her out of action on Wednesday night.

The Indiana Fever didn't need her, as they rolled past the Portland Fire in a 90-73 win.

Clark was so relaxed that she spent a portion of the game eating an Uncrustable:

Clearly, the Fever are hoping this isn't a long-term issue. Clark's 2025 season was so negatively impacted by injury, and it'd be much better if she can stay healthy now.

But it's a good sign that the Fever, much like last season, could win without her.

On Wednesday, Aliyah Boston led the way with 24 points (8-11 FG) and eight rebounds.

Kelsey Mitchell had 21 points and four assists.

Lexie Hull played big minutes with Clark out and had 16 points (4-4 FG, 4-4 3FG, 4-4 FT) and eight rebounds.

Raven Johnson added nine points off the bench.

Indiana is 3-2 now, winning the first game Clark misses this season.

The Fire are just an expansion team, and a group that the Fever should beat, but it's still important to have the proof of concept of winning without Clark.

Her return timeline will come into focus soon enough, but on Wednesday night, Clark was content just to have a snack while her teammates took care of business.
