Caitlin Clark celebrates anniversary with Connor McCaffery, ‘My favorite person’

If there is anyone who might be able to claim the title of basketball star Caitlin Clark’s biggest fan, it is probably her long-time boyfriend, Connor McCaffery. Clark and McCaffery reportedly first began dating in April of 2023. They are now celebrating their two-year anniversary. 

Clark turned to Instagram on Thursday, April 24, to acknowledge the occasion. 

“Another year with my favorite person :) I’m so thankful for you 🖤🖤,” she captioned the post. 

Clark included a black and white photograph of her and McCaffery embracing courtside following an Indiana Fever game. 

Clark and McCaffery both attended the University of Iowa. He, too, played basketball for the Hawkeyes during his time there. 

They are now both residing in Indiana as Clark prepares for her second WNBA season with the Fever. Meanwhile, McCaffery is employed as the assistant basketball coach for Butler University. 

Clark and McCaffery typically keep their relationship pretty private, but have both shared a few social media posts from their time together over the last couple of years. 

In honor of Clark’s 23rd birthday this past January, McCaffery turned to Instagram to share his appreciation for her. 

“Happy 23rd CC ❤️ (finally we’re celebrating together this year 🥹)! You have an incredible ability to inspire and lift up those around you, and I am lucky to learn from you every day. Thank you for always being you 🤞🏼I love you,” he wrote.
