Burning Man 2025 tickets: How to buy, cost, dates and more for Black Rock City festival

Burning Man returns to Black Rock City for yet another edition of the world's most unique, accessible and inclusive arts festival.

With roots dating back to 1986, Burning Man has evolved from an impromptu gathering on a San Francisco beach into a lively metropolis in Black Rock City with 75,000 attendees gathered in the Nevada desert.

Founder Larry Harvey created the 10 Principles in 2004 to serve as the festival's bedrock: Radical Inclusion, Gifting, Decommodification, Radical Self-reliance, Radical Self-expression, Communal Effort, Civic Responsibility, Leaving No Trace, Participation and Immediacy.

Held in the Nevada desert about 120 miles northeast of Reno, Burning Man runs from August 24 to September 1. This year’s theme is “Tomorrow Today.”

Last year’s Burning Man didn't sell out — the first time since 2011 — but it still had a great turnout, with over 70,000 people. Organizers have mentioned that the pre-sales and multiple rounds of ticket sales were busier this time around, so don't be surprised if the desert is full again this year.

Tickets to Burning Man can be found on StubHub. There's only one type of ticket available: a 9-day general admission pass. Prices range from $1,000 to $1,300, but prices could easily rise between now and August.

Traditionally, Burning Man tickets sell out almost immediately, and this year was no different. In 2022, for example, tickets sold out in just 29 minutes. It's a high-demand event, as its legend continues to grow each year. 

Tickets first went on sale in February, and two concurrent sales were held in April and May. The festival is capped at 80,000 people, in accordance with Burning Man's permit with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.

Children 12 and under get in for free with their ticketed parents or legal guardians, but need to have their own free print-at-home Kids’ Ticket. If you’re bringing multiple children 12 years old and younger, you’ll need a Kids’ Ticket for each of them. 

When is Burning Man 2025?

Burning Man 2025 will take place over nine days from Sunday, Aug. 24 through Mon., Sept. 1, all from Black Rock City, Nevada.

Burning Man 2025 vehicle passes

Every vehicle entering Black Rock City during the festival requires a vehicle pass. Passes can be purchased during any of the sale windows. You can also purchase vehicle passes on StubHub, with the cheapest passes selling for about $900. 

Burning Man 2025 festival lineup

The full lineup of acts performing at this year's Burning Man is not yet available. The lineup should drop by June, but expect plenty of surprises right up to the weeks of the festival. 

Over 50 artists performed at Burning Man 2023 and 2024. Last year's event was highlighted by RÜFÜS DU SOL, Vintage Culture, and Diplo.
