It's not often that a trade goes through before the NBA trade deadline and then gets altered afterward.
That's what happened with the Chicago Bulls, Charlotte Hornets and Coby White.
The Bulls agreed to a deal to send White to the Hornets, but then after the trade, White had to undergo a physical.
By the time White was in Charlotte for the medical assessment, the deadline had long since passed.

Charlotte found that White has a left calf injury that will force him to miss time, according to The Athletic's Fred Katz.
Because of that, the trade terms were slightly amended.
The Bulls were originally supposed to get three second-round picks in the trade.
Now, they will get just two: the Knicks' 2031 second-rounder, and the Nuggets' 2031 second-rounder.
White will heal up and then hopefully take the court for Charlotte at some point.

The Hornets took a chance that White can help their late playoff push that's ongoing. Charlotte is one of the hottest teams in the league.
White is a free agent after the season, but that's not of concern to the Hornets at the moment. They just want to chase down, ironically, the Bulls.
If they do that thanks in part to White, the deal would've been worth it, but they've now baked in a little cushion by reducing the trade cost in case this White injury sticks around in any way.
