2:25 p.m.: The 76ers signed Anfernee Simons to a two-year, $12.3 million contract, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

WEDNESDAY

9:30 a.m.: Norman Powell is a Bull. He signs a two-year, $45 million deal with Chicago, leaving the Miami Heat.

8:30 a.m.: A slow start around the league could pick up as the week goes on and bigger players have visits with different teams.

TUESDAY

10:15 p.m.: Shams Charania reports that the Bulls are bringing back Zach Collins on a re-signed new contract. It's two years for $17 million total.

10 p.m.: Nothing has arrived yet on the first night of free agency. It's been pretty slow around the league.

6:30 p.m.: The Bulls have waived Kam Jones rather than pay his fully guaranteed salary. They acquired him in a draft-night trade, but this was always likely the plan.

6:20 p.m.: Nothing has happened yet in the NBA, and fans might be wondering why. But the 6 p.m. ET start is for the legal negotiating window. Teams are careful not to announce deals too quickly that suggest that they were negotiating ahead of time.

2 p.m.: Free agency officially opens at 6 p.m. today.
