The Milwaukee Bucks' future remains uncertain as they enter the NBA offseason. Franchise cornerstone Giannis Antetokounmpo, who played 12 seasons in Milwaukee, could join a new team next season.

Amidst the swirling trade rumors, Bucks head coach Doc Rivers recently addressed the speculation surrounding the two-time MVP.

While speaking with TMZ, Rivers dismissed and brushed off rumors, stating that he still keeps in touch with the Bucks superstar.

"Guys, I'm not doing all that," he told the cameras. "I talk to him all the time. You can move on now, thank you."

Rivers was hired as the Bucks' head coach midway through the 2023-24 season, replacing Adrian Griffin; however, despite the coaching change, the Bucks have yet to recapture the glory they experienced in 2021, when they won their first NBA Championship since the 1971 season.

Their pursuit came up short this season; Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers eliminated them in the first round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs, ending a disappointing season.

ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania reported earlier this month that Antetokounmpo is open-minded about exploring other teams to play for.

He added that he plans to meet with the Bucks manager to discuss his future. There haven't been many details shared about when the meeting will take place.

Antetokounmpo has been with the Bucks since 2013. He has emerged as the face of the franchise after years of mediocrity, helping turn around a once-struggling franchise into a perennial contender

If he does opt to be traded, he should have several suitors looking to acquire his services.
