It finally happened on Wednesday, with reports revealing that Giannis Antetokounmpo decided that he has come to terms with ending his time with the Bucks and that he is ready to move on to his next team and a new chapter in his career.
Dating back to this past summer, the league had a feeling this could happen, but we now know it's going to happen sooner rather than later.
In addition to the report that Giannis is ready to move on, we learned what the Bucks desire in return for their superstar forward.
What do the Bucks want in a trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo?
ESPN's NBA insider Shams Charania provided more details this afternoon on what the Bucks want for Giannis.
"My sources say that they are giving indications that they want either a young blue-chip talent, and or a surplus of draft picks...and probably a combination of both things," Charania said.

He also mentioned that a trade won't necessarily happen before next Thursday's deadline, as Milwaukee could choose to work something out in the offseason; however, Giannis will have more leverage if that does happen.
We may have already seen his last game in a Bucks uniform, as he suffered a calf injury recently that will keep him out for at least a month.
Rarely does a player like Giannis become available on the trade market.
We saw Luka Doncic get traded around this time last season, but he wasn't publicly available in the way we are seeing with Giannis now.
The Bucks are going to field many offers from teams for their generational star player, and as Charania mentioned, they have no rush to get a deal done at the moment.
In 30 games this season, Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists.
