Browns veteran drops fiery take on lack of primetime games

3 hours ago 1

The Cleveland Browns are bringing in a lot of new faces after a disappointing 2024 season. Among them are rookies such as Mason Graham, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.

Others include quarterbacks Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco, who are set to be battling for the QB1 spot this season. In 2024, the Browns went just 3-14, which landed them the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft (which they traded to move down to No. 5).

So, it wasn't that surprising to see the NFL schedule release have the Browns with zero primetime games. The QB position is a toss-up, Nick Chubb currently isn't on the roster, and there are plenty of other issues in Cleveland.

As a result, veteran Shelby Harris got brutally honest on the lack of primetime games, per Bobby Kownack of NFL.com

"They can count us out all they want to. It's up to us to go into the season and start whooping people's a****. I get it. Last year wasn't the season that we expected, and now this year they're going to say we didn't get prime time because of all of the quarterback controversy. Who cares? Screw 'em."

Harris, who has been in the NFL since 2014, has bounced around and spent time with the Denver Broncos, the then-Oakland Raiders, the Seattle Seahawks and now the Browns, so he is no stranger to the league.

Sure, the QB controversy might be one reason, but the Browns winning just three games might be another. Still, Harris says "Who cares."
