Browns fans go crazy after mistakenly thinking Myles Garrett sacked Aaron Rodgers for NFL record

1 hour ago 2

All eyes were on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, as Myles Garrett entered the game with a chance to break the NFL sack record against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The game marked the final Cleveland home game of the year, and while the Browns have just three wins this year, Cleveland fans were excited to potentially watch history. However, it was a tough opponent for Garrett, with Aaron Rodgers on the other side.

While Rodgers doesn't move great at his age of 42, the veteran quarterback has been known to get the ball out quickly this season, limiting sacks that way. Therefore, anytime Garrett came close to sacking Rodgers, Browns fans cheered in excitement.

Of course, that could lead to a false alarm or two, which is what happened when a Brown not named Myles Garrett sacked Rodgers. Here's what happened.

How many sacks does Myles Garrett have?

Garrett has the same number of sacks now that he had entering the game: 22.0. The star pass rusher needs 0.5 sacks to tie the all-time record, and a full sack to break the record.
