"Browns being the Clowns again": NFL fans react to Isaiah Williams' 78-yard punt return TD 

New York Jets return specialist Isaiah Williams had an excellent start in his team's Week 10 game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. With 5:45 left in the first quarter, Williams returned a punt for 78 yards for a touchdown to give the Jets a 14-7 lead at MetLife Stadium.

Notably, Williams' score was the second special teams TD of the first quarter against the Browns after they had a 99-yard kickoff return score earlier in the game. Fans on social media slammed the Browns for allowing two return TDs in one quarter.

"Browns being the Clowns again," one tweeted.

"It had nothing to do with the Jets, but rather the ineptitude of the @Browns," another added. "Most poverty franchise of all time," a third commented.

Here are a few more reactions.

The Browns entered Week 10 with a 2-6 record. Kevin Stefanski's team has struggled both offensively and defensively this season.

While Cleveland's defense looked shaky in the first quarter against the Jets, many have been urging the team to start rookie Shedeur Sanders at quarterback instead of Dillon Gabriel.

Meanwhile, the Jets entered the game against Cleveland with just one win this season, which came in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals. New York had a BYE in Week 9.

Isaiah Williams played college football at Illinois from 2019 to 2023. He spent the first two years as a quarterback before switching to playing as a receiver.

Williams went undrafted in 2024 but was signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent. He was released in November last year, but claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Bengals.

In September, Williams signed with the Jets. He was released on Oct. 4, but re-signed to the practice squad before making it to the active roster.
