Broncos predicted to add fastest WR prospect in 2025 NFL draft

When the Denver Broncos go on the clock in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, it's quite likely the team will be targeting a wide receiver with that pick. The team has a young wide receiver room and the future of Courtland Sutton in Denver always seems to be a topic of discussion. 

Vinnie Iyer of The Sporting News recently put together a 2025 mock draft and he has the Broncos choosing perhaps the fastest wide receiver in next year's class... Isaiah Bond of Texas. 

When Xavier Worthy, also of Texas, went to the scouting combine last year, he broke the combine record with the fastest 40-yard dash time ever. That led to him being a first-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos could find their own version of Worthy, only one who might be more polished as a wide receiver. 

When reading scouting reports on Bond, he's often referred to as a creative route runner. Unlike Worthy, he is more than just a home-run threat and in a precision passing attack, could be an incredibly dangerous weapon. 

So far this season, he has caught 26 passes for 435 yards (16.7-yard average) and five touchdowns.

Here is what Iyer had to say in his analysis:

"Bo Nix has made do with their current wide receiver corps, led by an inconsistent Courtland Sutton, but he needs a good vertical playmaker to increase the big-play threat of the passing game. Bond would be a great fit."

Bond would definitely be a great fit in Denver and he would give Bo Nix a useful weapon to stretch the field with.

The Broncos are going to need help at wide receiver next season as the team has Sutton and Josh Reynolds (who has missed multiple games this season) and Lil'Jordan Humphrey as veterans on the roster. Troy Franklin and Devaughn Vele are rookies who are still adjusting to the professional level. 

The team needs much more in this department and it seems obvious that if Nix had some upgrades in terms of offensive weapons, the Broncos could quickly take the next step to being top contenders in the AFC. 

The idea of using their first-round pick on a guy like Bond makes plenty of sense.
