WWE is just a few hours away from hosting the first Monday Night RAW after Saturday Night's Main Event XLII. John Cena has retired, and the door is now open for a new era. While fans anticipate what the creative team has in store for them tonight, in a shocking twist, Brock Lesnar might pull off a surprise return during the show.
The Beast Incarnate has not been away from the screen since this year's Survivor Series: WarGames. He previously made his comeback on the November 17 episode of the red brand show, alongside Roman Reigns, for the build-up to the Men's WarGames Match. That said, it seems Lesnar might finally make an appearance tonight on WWE RAW.
At Saturday Night's Main Event XLII, Gunther managed to make John Cena submit in his final match as an active wrestler. Right now, he seems to be the company's top heel. Following his victory over the GOAT in Washington, D.C, The Ring General is set to address the wrestling universe tonight. However, he might be confronted by a returning Brock Lesnar in a jaw-dropping twist.
If that happens, it could finally set Gunther up for a blockbuster showdown against Lesnar for the first time in their respective careers. Moreover, the wrestling community has speculated about the match in the near future, and the creative team might consider pulling the trigger on the move tonight.
At this point, this angle is speculative, and fans will have to wait until the upcoming episode of WWE RAW to see if this will eventually come to fruition.
Gunther could be Brock Lesnar's final opponent in WWE
Brock Lesnar might be nearing the end of his wrestling career, as John Cena accidentally revealed that The Beast Incarnate is likely to bid fans farewell at WWE SummerSlam 2026 in Minnesota.
With that in mind, it appears that Lesnar's final opponent has already been decided. On X, WRAKD Wrestling posted that Gunther might retire The Beast Incarnate. The announcement came shortly after The Ring General defeated Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event in Washington, D.C.
Notably, their prediction came true about the 38-year-old superstar retiring The Franchise Player, after he retired Goldberg in July. Hence, it seems Brock Lesnar might be the next in line.
While this has yet to be confirmed, it will be interesting to see what plans the creative team has in store for the superstars going forward.
