The Dallas Cowboys made two moves on trade deadline day, acquiring All-Pro defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and linebacker Logan Wilson, as the front office didn't sit on its hands.
The moves help one of the NFL's worst defenses at two positions, and while the secondary is still a major problem, the Cowboys are getting the likes of Donovan Wilson, Malik Hooker, and Shavon Revel Jr. back post-bye when the Cowboys take on the Las Vegas Raiders.
And for head coach Brian Schottenheimer, he's detailed his thoughts on the two trades.
"It's exciting, kudos to Jerry [Jones], Stephen [Jones], and Will [McClay] being aggressive, but smart, because a couple of the moves we made, you're getting guys not just for this year, but beyond, which I think is great," Schottenheimer said. "Two terrific players, excited to see both those guys here."

Cowboys finally be proactive with roster construction
As expected, there have been mixed reactions to the trades: some aren't fans, while others like the moves, and, in true Cowboys fashion, the franchise can't win.
Many wanted them to make moves ahead of the deadline, and now that they have, people aren't happy with the moves they have made.
So they are damned if they do, and damned if they don't.
Either way, the Cowboys have to be at least given some props for trying to make something happen, and yes, it might be too little too late, especially with the Micah Parsons trade, but at least the front office recognizes that change, personnel-wise, was needed.
Will it be enough to help the Cowboys' assault on the playoffs this season? Likely not, but with Wilson and Williams both around beyond 2025, things for 2026 might be looking better.
