WATCH: Superlek vs. Yuki Yoza official ONE 173 fight preview

All is set for the marquee bantamweight kickboxing showdown between Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Yuki Yoza later this month in Japan. Both fighters have expressed their readiness and take the win come fight night.

The two top strikers are featured at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on Nov. 16. Their match is one of the topnotch action featured at the marquee event happening at Tokyo's Ariake Arena.

ONE Championship recently raised anticipation for the showdown by sharing the official preview for the fight, where Superlek and Yoza shared their thoughts on their scheduled encounter.

"He's on this winning streak only because he hasn't fought me yet. When we fight, I'm certain it'll end. I will do my best to knock him out and end his streak," Superlek warned.

"I really want to break his spirit. The very top fighters have incredible mental strength. I want to break that strong spirit. I want to break him and show that moment to fans across Japan," Yoza, for his part, countered.

ONE also highlighted the huge victories both fighters had in their earlier matches in the promotion as a fitting setup for their collision.

Featured is Superlek's successful defense of the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title against Yoza's teammate Takeru Segawa in January 2024, where 'The Kicking Machine' dominated 'The Natural Born Crusher' on his way to the unanimous decision victory while leaving Takeru's leg badly bruised.

The defeat is serving a motor for Yoza to beat Superlek and exact payback for Takeru.

Also spotlighted in the fight preview is Yoza's impressive victory over former bantamweight kickboxing king Petchtanong Petchfergus in his last fight in July, where he won by unanimous decision and solidified his standing as an emerging dominant force in the bantamweight lane.

Superlek confident of beating Yuki Yoza at ONE 173

Superlek is expecting to win his kickboxing showdown against Yuki Yoza at ONE 173. He believes that the Japanese star's skills are not diverse enough to handle what he will be bringing come fight night.

The Thai superstar shared this in an interview with ONE Championship, highlighting that he has studied Yoza's game and is not really impressed by it.

"When he started fighting in ONE, I watched him. I noticed his durability and his continuous output. His style isn't very varied, but he is always active, keeping opponents preoccupied," he said.

Both Superlek and Yoza are angling for a huge win at ONE 173 to take a shot at the bantamweight kickboxing world title currently in the possession of Algerian-Thai champion Nabil Anane.
