WWE veteran Bret Hart recently gave a surprising reaction after MJF's name came up during a recent conversation. The Hitman is known for his controversial comments during interviews. Maxwell has been one of AEW's top stars over the past few years. He has been absent from the company for a couple of months and may be returning soon.
The WWE legend interacted with The Salt of the Earth over six years ago during the inaugural AEW show. At the 2019 Double or Nothing, Bret made a major appearance to unveil the AEW World Championship. They had a brief interaction during the pay-per-view.
During Bret Hart's recent appearance on Johnny | Pro Show, a fan in the crowd shouted Maxwell's name. While many would have expected the WWE legend to remember the popular name, he took a moment to recall it and then said he's no longer familiar with the product or the star.
“Who? MJF? Who is that? — Just curious though, who is it? — AEW wrestler? — As you can tell, I don’t watch a lot anymore," he said. [H/T - Ringside News]MJF will be back in AEW by December
The former AEW World Champion has not been seen since losing to Mark Briscoe at All Out. He is currently out of action to focus on outside projects.
Last week, Self Made reported that Maxwell and Swerve Strickland will return to the promotion in December.
"We’re going to get two major returns. By—let’s see here—by the end of the month, AEW is going to have two major stars back. We’re talking about Swerve and MJF here. They have the creative setup for those two guys for December. I expect them to be back by the time we’re in December," he said.Out of the two, Swerve Strickland made his blockbuster return at AEW Full Gear. Now, fans are waiting for The Devil to come back.
