BREAKING: Unforseen WWE title change causes backstage chaos - REPORTS

One of the most unpredictable title changes in WWE history was featured on this week’s NXT as Blake Monroe kicked off the show with her NXT Women’s North American Championship match against Thea Hail. The match was made official after Monroe issued an open challenge for the title last week, just to greet chaos, before Thea Hail, from out of nowhere, managed to get a mock three-count on the champion.

Ava made a match between Monroe and Hail official for this week’s NXT, and the show kicked off with the match itself. The battle between both women kicked off with some intriguing action, leaving fans around the world talking.

However, during the ending moments of the match, a lot of confusion made its way into the mix after Hail rolled up the champion for the pinfall. While Monroe’s right shoulder was not on the mat, the referee counted three, announcing a new champion in surprising fashion.

Recent reports from WrestleVotes have now revealed that the title change was completely unforeseen, and that there have been behind-the-scenes discussions on how to move forward with the storyline after the confusing yet impactful finish this week on NXT.

While Blake Monroe lost her NXT Women’s North American Championship, she clearly had her shoulders above the mat, and the count from the referee was a big mistake. Considering the push WWE has been giving to Monroe, they will somehow make a rematch for the NXT Women’s North American Championship official.

It won’t be surprising if Monroe gets hold of the title once again in the next few weeks and get back to the top of the division. Fans will have to wait and see what WWE has in store for the stars after the unforeseen title change on NXT this week.
