BREAKING: Joe Hendry to challenge for WWE championship

Joe Hendry has been one of the most attractive names in WWE and the entire wrestling industry today. The star has been making headlines with his appearances on NXT week after week, and fans have started considering him as one of the most integral parts of the stories on the brand lately.

NXT’s Ethan Page and Chelsea Green captured the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship after defeating La Hiedra and Mr. Iguana last week. This win marks their first reign as the mixed tag team champions and further solidifies Page’s growing dominance across promotions as the reigning NXT North American Champion and now one-half of the mixed tag champs as well.

The duo celebrated their victory on NXT this week and ended up saying Joe Hendry’s name, which led to the star coming out. Hendry stated that he wanted a title match with Ethan Page, but not for the NXT North American Championship.

The star then announced that he had a partner in mind for a mixed tag team match when Thea Hail appeared from inside the cake, which was set up for the celebration. With her appearance, it is clear that Hendry and Hail will team up and challenge Page and Green for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships very soon.

Will Joe Hendry be a part of upcoming WWE tournament?

John Cena’s Last Time is Now tournament is set to kick off next week on RAW, and several names from the industry are set to compete week after week. Considering his popularity lately, Joe Hendry could be one of the names from outside WWE to compete in the tournament. While there is no official word on his participation, time will tell what the company has in store for the star in the near future.
