A beloved team is finally reuniting in WWE. A report has broken about the same after the two have been separated for more than 500 days.
Penta and Rey Fenix are finally reuniting as the Lucha Bros in WWE
For the first time since signing with the company, the Lucha Bros are going to be in action together later this year. Before the new year, on December 20 in Guadalajara, Mexico, the two stars are reportedly appearing in a tag team match on the AAA Guerra de Titanes show, as per a report by Chris The Wrestling Informer.
This would be the first time that they reunited since signing with the company. This would be a one-off for the show, but would also be a huge moment for the stars.
Given that the company owns AAA, this might be a way for them to see what happens when the two stars work together. The match might determine their future as a team.
When asked about them teaming later, the report further stated that the long term plan was for them to reunite and wrestle on RAW and SmackDown as well, within the company.
@ugwueke02 That’s the long term plan
Fans will have to wait and see how far in the long term scenario this finally happens. Triple H is the one in charge of the booking and he'd need to make the call.
Reason why WWE did not unite the beloved tag team before
Earlier, a report had broken the real reason that WWE had not reunited the beloved team. The two stars were seen to be very capable by themselves and seen as potential huge stars as singles wrestlers.
Penta has already achieved a lot of success on RAW even if he has not won a title. Fenix has similarly been in high profile storylines.
The idea has always been to reunite them eventually, and it seems that fans are getting at least a glimpse of that before the end of the year in the AAA show.
